Roe Bubar-Vice President
Roe Bubar is an Associate Professor in the Ethnic Studies Department and School of Social Work at Colorado State University and Vice President of Bubar & Hall Consulting, LLC. She is also a licensed attorney and is a member of the New Mexico Bar Association. She also works in the area of tribal consultation under §106 of the Historic Preservation Act with tribal, state, and federal agencies. Roe’s current areas of research include intersectionality, child maltreatment, and violence in tribal communities. Roe is a former President of the National Children’s Alliance Board, one of the founders of the Native American Children’s Alliance and the New Mexico APSAC Chapter. Roe has provided technical assistance, and consulting services to tribes, states, and federal agencies for over 20 years. She is recognized as an expert in the area of forensic interviewing and currently provides professional supervision for the MSW forensic interviews in Larimer County, Colorado. In her spare time she gardens, plays golf, and manages Arikara Farms, where she raises heritage breed poultry and organic vegetables.
