Alex Basaraba-Photographer/Videographer, Content Specialist
Alex has a diverse role with Bubar and Hall Consulting. In addition to contributing to the firm’s research, he is the firm’s photographer/videographer, and content specialist. Alex has a Masters of Science in the Human Dimensions of Natural Resources from Colorado State University (2016), a Bachelors of Science in Biology, and a Minor in Music (also from CSU in 2010). His graduate research was conducted in Tongariro National Park, New Zealand in 2015. Through qualitative interviews and focus group discussions with staff of the NZ Department of Conservation, local government agencies, business owners, and Maori Tribes, he collaboratively conducted an assessment of the prospect for shared decision-making (co-governance and co-management) within the National Park. Alex’s passion for the environment, photography, music, and diverse cultures has taken him to many countries including Nepal, Peru, and Borneo. He is excited to be working back in the US and excited to continue learning about the inter-connectedness between development and environmental sustainability, especially with Tribal communities.
Alex can be reached at alex@bubarhall.com or can be found on LinkedIn, Facebook or Instagram.
